What we collect
Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the date you signed up and when you confirmed. We then send you one email with a confirmation link (double opt-in) — only after you click it are you on the list. We use your address for one purpose only: to tell you when YumMap launches. No newsletter, no ads, no selling or sharing for marketing.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us — we delete your address right away.
How long: unconfirmed addresses are deleted automatically after 7 days. Confirmed addresses are kept until we’ve sent the launch email, or until you withdraw — whichever comes first. Every email contains a link to remove yourself.
Contact form. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and message by email so we can reply (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The form does not store your message in a database; we delete the email once your request is settled, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Abuse protection. To stop automated sign-ups, we store a one-way hash of your IP address combined with a daily changing value for the forms above. It cannot be traced back to you and is deleted after 2 days (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Services we use
- Hosting: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Pages) — delivers this page and protects it against attacks; this involves processing your IP address (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and we have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare.
- Email: Messages to our @yummap.com addresses are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our mailbox.
- Waitlist storage: Supabase, Inc. — stores waitlist emails on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
- Email delivery: Resend, Inc., USA — sends the confirmation email and delivers contact form messages to us, under a data processing agreement. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Fonts: served from our own server — no requests to third-party font services.
Cookies & tracking
None. This page sets no cookies and uses no analytics, pixels or tracking scripts.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing, or a copy of your data (Art. 15–20 GDPR). You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
